Leverage and Margin of USDⓈ-M Futures

Leverage and Margin of USDⓈ-M Futures

Our platform is committed to supporting high-leverage trading while ensuring risk control and proper management of liquidation. To achieve this, we have adopted the Maintenance Margin model. Here's what you need to know about maximum position, maximum leverage, initial margin rate, and Maintenance Margin:

Maximum Position, Maximum Leverage, and Initial Margin Rate:

The maximum amount of leverage available on our platform depends on the notional value of your position. You can adjust the leverage as per your requirements, and all position sizes are calculated based on the notional value of the contract in USDT. The initial margin is determined by the leverage you choose. However, leverage adjustment must be made before opening a position. If you need to adjust the leverage after opening a position, you must close all existing positions before doing so.

Please note that you should select your leverage (and fulfill the initial margin requirement) before opening positions. Otherwise, it will be set at 10x by default. The higher the leverage, the smaller the notional size you can open, and the lower the leverage, the higher the notional size you can open.

Here are some additional notes on leverage adjustment:

  • Lever adjustment is not allowed temporarily when there is a position.

  • In Cross Margin mode, the margin can only be shared between the same type of asset.

  • The maximum position limit of each tier includes both long and short positions.

  • Currently, the maximum number of contracts supported by the platform is 10,000, which will be adjusted based on risks and platform operation.

Maintenance Margin:

Maintenance Margin is calculated based on your positions at different notional value tiers. This means that the Maintenance Margin is always calculated the same way, regardless of the leverage you select. Moving from one tier to another will not cause the previous tier to change its leverage. The larger the position, the higher the Maintenance Margin rate.

At our platform, the Maintenance Margin is less than half of the Initial Margin, which is more beneficial to traders than in most exchanges where the Maintenance Margin is usually half of the Initial Margin.

It is important to note that the Maintenance Margin will directly affect the liquidation price. To avoid auto-deleveraging, we highly recommend that you close your positions before the collateral falls below the Maintenance Margin.

At our platform, we prioritize risk control and liquidity management to support high leverage trading while minimizing the risks. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our margin trading features, please feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance

Leverage Adjustment

Our platform offers support for highly leveraged transactions through complex risk control engines and settlement models. By default, the leverage is set to 10x, but users have the option to adjust it according to their preference. It is important to note that once a position is opened, adjusting the leverage requires closing the position, adjusting the leverage ratio, and placing a new order.

Tips:At present, there is no support for leverage ratio adjustment. Please follow the instructions on the page and pay attention to changes in the margin ratio in a timely manner to enhance risk awareness and protect funds
